eCommerce Website Designer
Finding a good ecommerce website designer to build an effective online store has never been so important. In fact, with all the disruption in 2020, many would argue that the future belongs to those who build online.
And with good reason. In the first few months of the first Covid lockdown we saw ecommerce accelerate by five years – five years forecast growth in just a few short months (okay, they didn’t feel so short at the time – especially if you were homeschooling!). And we all know the effect this has had on the high street (source TechCrunch.com).
Building online ensures your prosperity
Clearly the competition’s tough and is going to get tougher. Even more reason your online store needs to be built on sturdy foundations and not sand. That’s why you’re going to need an experienced ecommerce website designer.
There’s no point in having a bland, me too, website like the vast majority of your competitors. You need something where the SEO is so good, it brings your target audience to your website, engages with them and converts those clicks into sales. Astonishingly, something that most designers fail to do.
The only real way to control your brand is to own it and a good designer will make your online shop really stand out.
By using stunning images and great story telling your audience will be engaged and spend time browsing your products and/or services.
Today it’s all about the ‘User Experience’
But it’s no good going to all this effort if your beautiful new website is hosted on a slow server. Ecommerce puts a higher load on a website and needs to be hosted appropriately. There’s nothing more off-putting to a user than a slow website (or an ugly one). Plus, Google has repeatedly warned that it will be implementing it’s “Mobile First” algorithm update, where mobile response times will become a ranking factor (currently slated for March 2021). But no matter what Google says, you owe it to yourself and your users, to have a fast user experience.
One final thing to consider for your site is prospect and customer management/fulfilment. From the user’s point of view, this is all quite simple. But from a management point of view, you’re going to need all this to be highly automated, otherwise, you’re just going to end up chasing your tail. CRM with good email/marketing automation is the answer.
